In general, our technical support team provides services that attempt to help the user solve specific problems with a product-including providing training, customization, or other support services.

We at Oman Fofor offer technical support for all the products we sell, either for free or a fee depending on the kind of request.

Managed Service Provider

Oman Fofor on the other hand also takes up contracts for support in Managed Service Provisions from companies and institutions that require such a service.

As a managed services provider (MSP),we most often deal with information technology (IT) related services and we manage and assume responsibility for providing a defined set of services to our clients either proactively or as may be determined by the services which are needed.

We therefore will receive a list of well-defined services on an on-going basis, with well-defined “response and resolution times” for a fixed rate or a flat fee. This can include things like 24/7 Monitoring of Servers, 24/7 Help desk for your daily computer issues and On-site visits by a technician when issues cannot be resolved remotely.

We provide an upfront bill for our setups or a transition fee and an on-going flat or near-fixed monthly fee, which benefits clients by providing them with predictable IT support costs.

With IT Service Management (ITSM), we refer to the implementation and management of quality information technology services. Oman Fofor performs IT service management through people, process and information technology.

ITSM is process-focused and has ties and common interests with process improvement frameworks and methodologies. The discipline is not concerned with the details of how to use a particular vendor’s product, or necessarily with the technical details of the systems under management.

IT service management in the broader sense overlaps with the disciplines of business service management and IT portfolio management, especially in the area of IT planning and financial control.

ITSM is generally concerned with the “back office” or operational concerns of information technology management (sometimes known as operations architecture), and not with technology development.

In this respect, ITSM may be seen as analogous to an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) discipline for IT.
