Awards and Achievements
Over the years, Oman Fofor has chalked up a lot of successes in its chosen industry. Oman Fofor has been at the forefront of the National Anti-Piracy struggle, which resulted in the passing of a copyright bill in Parliament to include computer software.
In 2008, Oman Fofor, in collaboration with Canon Incorporated, was involved in the sponsorship of the CAN 2008 Soccer Championship held in Ghana. Oman Fofor was awarded the Fastest growing Distributor in 2009-2010 by Canon Incorporated at the Annual Distributors™’ Conference in South Africa
Oman Fofor realizes the need to give back to society, on whose social endorsement the company and its products continue to receive acceptance. For the past eight years, Oman Fofor has donated products to the Institute of Journalism to facilitate teaching and learning by students.
Most of the ICT product distributors and vendors in Ghana today were once channel resellers for Oman Fofor. The company has, over the years, provided training on various ICT hardware and software to these companies that are now well established and contribute meaningfully to the industry.
Oman Fofor has sponsored numerous golf tournaments, including one edition of the Otumfuo Open in Kumasi. Several other open tournaments were also organized and sponsored by Oman Fofor for top-level executives of various organizations in Ghana. In collaboration with their major suppliers, Canon, Oman Fofor sponsored over a thousand spectators from both private and public organizations across the country to watch various stages of the Ghana 2008 African Cup of Nations Football Tournament staged in Ghana.
In 2011, Oman Fofor signed a sponsorship agreement to support an Inter Schools ICT Event for junior High Schools in Ghana, dubbed Battle of the Brains 2011.
